What are the requirements for hiring our vans?Be aged between 25 and 79 (23/24 years old will be considered on a case by case bases by the insurer - please contact us if you are interested) Have held a full UK or EU driving licence for a minimum of 2 years Have not had their licence suspended for any period within the last 3 years Have not been involved in more than one fault incident within the last 3 years Have no more than 2 convictions with a maximum of 3 points per conviction. Have no more than a single 4 or 6 point offence. Anything else will need to be referred to the insurer, please contact us with further details

How old do you have to be to hire a van?25 - 75 years old (23 - 24 will need to be referred and approved by the insurer, please contact us with your details)

How many drivers can there be?Up to 3 drivers total, additional drivers can be added to the booking for £30 per additional driver. All drivers will need to adhere to our requirements and provide the relevant documentation.

Can we take the van off island?Yes, the van can be taken off island. If you are planning a trip to the UK or Ireland please notify us the date the vehicle will be off-island. With trips further afield to Europe please notify us with the countries you are travelling through and the days spent away so we can notify the insurance company and confirm all checks out with them.

What time is collection and drop off?Collections after 3:00pm Drop off before 12:00pm As long as the van isn't in use or required for another booking on your collection/drop off days we are happy to work around times that work for you, within reason. We will confirm times once booking have been confirmed.

Airport/Ferry pickup up and drop off?Yes, for those visiting the island we can arrange pick up & drop off at both the airport and the sea terminal. Please notify us in advance via email with you request including your arrival/departure times.

Is there a limit to how many miles we can do in the van?Our coverage is offered at unlimited miles. We do however ask if your planning on covering a lot of miles to spread this out over a fair number of days. Both to give yourselves and the van a rest, plus you need plenty of time to take in the amazing sights you'll see on travels.

Do you need a booking deposit?You do indeed. There's a non-refundable booking deposit of £150.00 payable before a booking can be confirmed, and the balance of the charges is then due at least 6 weeks before you're due to hire from us.

Is insurance included?Comprehensive motor insurance is included in the basic price, for your and our peace of mind. If you are unfortunate enough to be in an accident, you’ll have to pay the policy excess up to £1000 25-79 years old & £1500for 23 - 24 years old. Is my personal property included in that insurance cover?Unfortunately it's not. Make sure you arrange your own travel insurance - in fact we recommend that you do for peace of mind.

Do I need to pay a security deposit?Yes a security deposit for the amount shown below is payable electronically before the collection of the vehicle. Provided you bring the van back on time, clean, in the same condition as it left and with a full tank of fuel, this will be refunded within 7 days.

What documents do I need to provide?We will need to see a valid driving licence for each of the drivers. TWO proof of address from separate sources within 3 months of your hire date, valid documents: • Electricity (bill/statement) • Water (bill/statement) • Gas (bill/statement) • Broadband/Landline • Council tax • TV licence • Bank Statement • Credit card bill / statement • Mortgage statement • Polling card • HMRC self-assessment / tax credit • Student loan • Shotgun licence • Payslip • Mobile phone bills • Pension letters • Car finance statement • Loan statement • Property deed An annual council tax bill will be accepted. All other documents must be dated within 90 days of the hire date. The address & name on your licence must match both documents. If travelling to Europe we need to see your passport also.

I have points on my licence, can I still hire the van?That depends on the nature of the penalties. Maximum of two 3 point speeding fines/other minor offences in the last five years and have had no more than one minor accident in three years. Anything out of this please contact us and we will contact the insurance to see if there is anything we can offer you.

Are dogs welcome?Yes you can bring your dog along, just make sure they are well behaved and they don't damage the vehicle.

Is a bike rack available?Yes. We have a genuine VW bike rack that can hold 4 bikes, which we have on for all hires. Make sure your bikes are covered by your own insurance.

How will we know how to work everything?Prior to your arrival you will be sent a collection of video demos to show how you set up the van and how it all works. We will run through everything on collection and you will have our run through vids to refer to on your travel. Everything inside is fairly user friendly.

What works on the leisure battery?The leisure battery is charged up when you're on the move and will last for about 8 hours. It works the fridge, electric tap, ignition on the hob and interior lights. This means the vehicles main battery is never used for these bits and pieces. We recommend that you plug into a campsite's electrical hook-up to keep it charged overnight.

What else should we be bringing with us?The van has a fridge, gas hob, a grill, sink & electric hook + hook up cable as well as cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, etc. We will also provide you with bedding, along with pillows. Torches are a must as a backup. These can be rented from us at an extra cost, email if you have any questions on what to bring or if you are looking to rent some of the extras mentioned.
